I think all those people who don't think Aichan has an interesting personality should watch her appearance on Matthew's Best Hit TV and repeat 10 times "Aichan is a funny girl." Really. Here, you should see it too if you haven't. And if anyone doubts her vocal competence - a complaint I never heard, but in any case... - just go watch Ribbon no Kishi. End of story. I'm already kind of tired of talking about her, actually T_T

I was looking forward to Miki's reign. And then the scandal came, and I felt dumb: being a leader, at that point, was just not like Miki. I should have known that. After Yossie left, Morning Musume was completely overloaded with kawaiiness. 6th gen, Koharu, Aika, you name it - excluding Aichan, they were all in the Kawaii spectrum of the Force. Lead a bunch of "Peace! Wink! Peace!" girls in this godforsaken idol group? No way. Oh, look, a comedian over there! => that was probably Miki's reasoning. ... What I mean by all this is that, in the end, I think Miki leaving was a good thing.

Yeah i think I felt kind of pleased when Miki left too and not just because she was my least favourite but it was hard to imagine her as leader. I do hope Miki returns to singing soon though and that her scandal doesnt create too much harm for her career.

I so agree with you! I had to make a post about this myself too because I think it's too unfair to attack her... But another thing that I really thought about: Momusu with Miki but no Yossy? It's true, that sounds weird. I couldn't picture a Momusu like that.

Could not have said it better. Yes, her voice does anchor the group right now, especially swince Yossi and Miki went out all at once, creating somewhat of a gap.

"Personally, when I heard Miki was leaving and Ai was becoming leader I was really pleased." - I felt exactly the same way, not because I didn't like Miki (I love Miki), but because I knew Ai would make a great leader.

Her manly screams are love. =p
[this is good]
