Yup. Thats right. It's official. I have grown. I am now a whole 151 cm! No no, theres no need to congratulate me I...Oh..wait..This is a Hello Project based blog. OK...Moving on...It's been almost a year since I discovered the world that is Hello! Project. In the past year I have started to build up a collection of H!P goodies. Now don't get me wrong, it's not near as good as other fans but I think for my first year of H!P fandom I have done quite well. To commerate almost a year I'm going to post my collection so far and make a note of what I'd like to get in the future. Sorry for the craptastic photos, I am in no way shape or form the world's best photographer.

First's things first: The first merchandise I ever bought. It's strange when I was starting to get into H!P I always thought I would start of with a CD, but somehow, I ended up buying this accidently instead. I say accidently as I was browsing through ebay and clicked on 'buy it now' when I wasn't concentrating :/ No harm done though as I got this awesome wristband out of my silly mistake :D Maybe I'll start of a collection of wristbands from H!P tours as it sounds like something fun to collect XD.

 

Next we have the next 2 CD's I bought. The Berryz album I bought just after the wristband (although it actually arrived first) and I preordered the C-ute single after watching the video many times. I was actually suprised by myself ordering this single as even before H!P I had only bought one single previously as I tend to buy the albums instead. However, thanks to this C-ute single, I has realised how silly I am for not buying both the single's and albums when they can be afforded. Both of the CD's are limited edition.

 

 

Finally, we have the the stuff I got for christmas and what a collection! I was quite suprised when a parcel arrived and it was filled with H!P goodies! This year I was hoping for a white christmas and although it didn't snow my chirstmas presents were Berryz related. :D Well, we have W & Berryz High score 2005, Natsu Natsu!-Anata wo Suki ni naru Sangensoku 2006, Sakura Mankai 2007, and their latest DVD, Welcome! Berryz Kuuyden. At the moment I've only managed to watch the W & Berryz concert as the parcel arrived just before school started and I've been slightly busy with exams to watch the others, but hopefully I'll get a chance soon.

 

 

As well as Berryz DVDs, I also got 3 Hello! Project concerts; 2006 summer, 2007 winter and 2007 summer, and the Morning Musume all singles complete 10th anniversary DVD which was the first item to enter my DVD player and after watching every PV back to back you can really see the changes Momusu have been through. Their music styles, line ups etc. My dad walked in to my room when Go Girl Koi no Victory started. He took one look at the TV called me weird and walked back out again. I think it's going to take a while for J-pop to grow on him.

 

Now for the CD's I got; Berryz Koubou - Tsukiattrononi kataomoi (limited ed.), Mini Moni songs 2, Morning Musume All Singles complete (regular ed.), Morning Musume - Mikan (limited ed. B), Petit Best 8 and W - double U&U. Although it's not Hello Project, News single weeeek also managed to find its way into the photo. Out of all the CD's Mini Moni's album is probably the most played. I love the first half of the album which are mainly R&B style tracks. And thats not all. The album also came with a poster which is currently hanging proudly on my wall :D

 

The last H!P gift I recieved was rather suprising, It was the Welcome Berryz Kyuden photobook, Now looking at the girls in bikini's don't really suit my taste so I've never really thought about getting a solo member's photobok before. Yet when I opened the parcel I was curious about this product so I looked and Oh my! It's full of funny and cute (but mainly funny) pictures of the girls. I would scan some but I'm not sure if photobooks are scanner friendly. Yet here is a picture from this photobook I found on the web.

 

Now imagine a book filled with hilarous pictures like that. Cool isn't it?

Wow, looking back over my H!P collection I've only just realised how much I've got. I've only been collecting since July too! Perhaps 2008 will see this collection double in size. As you can tell, my collection is seriously deprived of MoMusu concerts. In this year I'm hoping to get round to buying Odore! Morning Curry as I ahve heard this is one of their best concerts, and also their latest tour with my current favourite member, JunJun. Another must for 2008 is more JunJun merchandise. It's just sitting on the webpages waiting for me to buy and I know I'll probably not be able to resist. So have you got any concert's or DVD's or whatever to recommened? If so then feel free to tell me and maybe I'll look into buying it in the near future.

 

P.S You may notice that this blog post is slightly longer than others and that there is less grammer mistakes than the others (although there is bound to to be some lol). This is because this is the first post that has actually took more than a day to write. Normally I just write off the top of my head and don't bother to spell check or anything and it really annoys me (and others no doubt) when I read back through and I have made stupid little errors. I think in 2008 I will also take more care whilst writing in my blog so as not to annoy myself with those mistakes.

Also I'd like to wish a happy belated birthday to Aika, Rika and Mari, whose birthdays were on the 12th, 19th and the 20th of January. Hope they had a great birthday! 

to say happy new year! For H!P I think its safe to say that 2007 hasn't been too kind. With countless scandals and the disappointing sales of Mikan people have even been questioning if H!P was going to go bust. With 2007 being so bad, surely 2008 will be better? Well, thats my hope in anyways. As a matter of fact I'm almost certain that 2008 will hold much better oppurtunites for the groups, especially with Tsunku's taking-over-Asia plan in action.

I hope that everyone's 2008 will be filled with happiness and good fortune! :)

OK, first things first, I'm sorry I haven't posted on here for so long. With the holidays and exams I was away from the computer for longer than I anticipated.

For months I have looked forward to christmas day for a entirely different reason than the holiday itself. So what was the reason? Two words. Doctor Who. For those who don't know, Doctor Who is a science fiction series based on a alien creature (a time lord) called the Doctor. If you've never veiwed this series before but are intrested in sci-fi I definatly recommend this show. However, make sure you veiw the more recent series' as in the older ones the monsters look a bit naff in my opinion lol. 

Apperently, there is to be a new berryz album released on the 3.19.08 to be titled 'Very Berryz Best 1'. There will be three versions released. Now, I use the word apperently as I'm not sure how reliable this information is as of this moment but I thought it was worth mentioning as its seems quite likely that it will be released.

I hope everyone has a awesome christmas and that everyone gets what the wished for. :)

posts may be a little scarce for a while around here and theres a few reasons..

The first being that I'm currently ill. I hate British weather.

The second being that Im up to my eyes in coursework, resit essays and just general exams. At the moment I have 2 french essays to write (a 1000 word one and a 200 word one) about 2 or 3 ICT coursework modules to finish, some maths homework, history essay, a RE exam, psychology notes to study and some media thing which I need to play around with photoshop for and I think thats about it. Of course not including any more that I get in the next week.

The third reason is that because I have so much work to do and I normally spend all my time on my laptop my parents have decided that it will be best if I stay of it for 2 weeks, even though most of my stuff is on here. T_T Im currently writing this post at quarter to six in the morning as I'm officially banned. Hopefully the next few weeks will fly by and before I know it hopefully it will be Xmas. Well, thats what I'm hoping for in anyways...

This is why I haven't updated in a week even though when I first started this blog I was hoping to update every few days at least.

Before I go though it might be worth mentioning that the title of Nacchi's and Maimi's single has been announced: 16sai no Koi Nante. There was a voting contest where fans could pick the title of their single and this title won. The other choice was Watashi no Koibito na no ni and will probably end up being the B-side to the single.

Lately I've been reading a lot of comments from a lot of different random sites and amongst them I found a lot being fired towards Musume's leader. Why? Well according to the comments she ''hogs all the lines'' or ''she doesnt have a personality'' and even ''She wont be a good leader-she should graduate so Risa can take over''.

OK, first things first. Takahashi has the strongest voice in Musume. It may not be your personal favourite style voice but from any perspective its pretty obvious she is the strongest singer. Yes, I do realise Morning Musume are a band and not just Ai with backing vocals but her voice really makes up for those members of lesser vocal talents (as much as I like their voices..) Belive it or not Takahashi doesn't actually decide which song lines she sings so you can't really blame her if the producer picks her for the lead. I must admit, in Onna ni Sachi Are I was a bit disappointed by how much of the song was Ai but I didnt mind as at least it sounded good and as long as the producers made up for it later (Mikan's lines were more evenly distrubted)

Now whilst Ai doesnt have a overly cute, hyper personality that doesnt mean she doesnt have one. To me I've always thought of Ai being quite strange and she proved that in her futarigoto with Risa (Ai: Isn't man smart? You know..inventing the wheel and stuff LOL) Of course Ai has got a personality she just doesnt play on it as much as other members do.

Personally, when I heard Miki was leaving and Ai was becoming leader I was really pleased. I always thought Ai-chan would make a awesome leader and to be honest I was kind of scared that Musume would turn evil with Miki as their leader (joke lol) Throughout Morning Musume I've always thought that Ai was one of the most respected amongst them and thats why I think she'd make a good leader. I can imagine her being the sort of leader that people would turn to if they had problems and I'm sure she's helped make the pandas become accustomed to life within the group. Also her and Risa are a awesome pair and I'm pretty sure they would both work hard as leader and sub leader for MM. However, Risa without Ai-chan? I think if they dont have a double graduation than Risa will probably leave before Ai. I dont know why I think this but I just cant see Takitty graduating in the near future-or caught up in a scandal either.. 

Whilst I respect people's opinions and how everyone may not like Ai as much as other people (i.e. me) I think that people should give her more of a chance. Its not fair to critise her for things she has no control over. So lets sum up some of Takittys most lovable aspects. 

Ai Takahashi: current MM leader, kick-ass voice,  weird personality, cool new hair and manly screams.

More love and less hate towards Takitty!!

 

OR in english: happy bonfire night people!

I think this holiday is only celebrated in england but I could be wrong...I dont see why americans or any other culture would adapt this holiday as it has nothing to do with them...

If you dont know what bonfire night is than Ill tell you! 400 years ago there was a plot to kill the king of england. This plot was devised by a man and his gang. The man was called Guy Fawkes. They wanted to kill the king as they were catholic yet the king was protestant so they thought that if parliment was dead then maybe the catholic religion would be the dominant religion in england again. Anyways to cut the story short they were caught hung, drawn and quatered (I think this is where you are hung then your body is dragged by a horse and then its cut up in quaters...nasty, yeah?) and the henchmens heads were placed on sticks...I think...At least I remember a drawing in a picture book like that but sometimes childrens picture books can lie. Anyways on the 5th of november people burn a 'Guy' (basically a scarecrow) to commerate this event. Also there is a lot of fireworks. As Im writing this all I can hear are big explosions as everywhere in Britain is lighting up fireworks at this moment of time. It can get a bit noisy and annoying.

There you go! A one hour history lesson in about 2 minutes heh.^^ I dont know why I wrote the history of Guy but maybe its my way of remembering this day as Im quite sick of fireworks. So as I said even if you dont celebrate this holiday have a good 5th of November :)

 In other news I've been listening to a lot of early musume recently. Particulary morning coffee and furusato! Normally I just overlook the older ones and only listen from 4th gen up (if that makes sence?) Old school Musume rock! I dont know why I didnt start paying attention to them earlier. Maybe its because I have no idea who 2 from 1st gen and the 3rd one from 2nd gen are. Or maybe its because I've never really sat through the PVs yet. Also normally it annoys me when one member has practically all the solo lines but for some reason I dont mind so much when its Nacchi singing. Time for another dose of Furusato I think then maybe Ill try and get some sleep X_X

Yesterday my mom was being nosy looking through my sketch book and she came across a bunch of drawings of the manga mini moni characters. Her reaction? She said they were cute and she wants to decorate my walls with mini moni stuff!! This made me laugh as she is finally paying a intrest to my music and also because it seems quite strange to me. Mini Moni wallpaper? Now thats taking wota to the extreme...

I know I recently posted a coundown of my top ten hello project members but over the past week its changed drastically. This may have something to do with listening to a lot of C-ute and Buono as there seems to be a lot more H!P kids there this time. Anyways, HarimaKenji recently sent me a link to a website and it decides your favourite hello project members for you. Momoko has risen drastically and thats because shes so damn cute in the Buono! PV. In the dance shot as well you can really see her enthuasim. Last time she wasnt even in my top ten!I think I'm currently going through a I love momo faze heh ^^. Aika is also a lot higher. Last time I was thinking of adding her in my top ten but there just wasnt the room to fit her in. To be honest I dont know why shes suddenly up there, maybe its the Shiroi no big wave PV. Oh well feel free to take the quiz and post your results in the comments!!

While Im having a break from studying I thought I'd share my top ten H!P artists at the moment. I have a idea who will be in the top 10 its just assigning them numbers which Im finding difficult. How I chose these was pretty random. I ended up listing my 15 favourites and managed to sort them out.

 

Number 10= Saki Shimizu

The captain of Berryz. I like her mainly for the fact shes a year older than me but two cm smaller (i think). She makes me feel tall which doesn't happen very often. Despite her height she's proven to be a great captain to one of the first hello project groups I listened to. She doesn't get many solo lines which is a shame as in the few lines she does she get she has proven that she can sing. She is also a awesome dancer. If you've never seen her dance solo from a live preformance of their first single I suggest you check it out below.

Number 9= Aya Matsuura

I'm actually suprised that she didnt rank higher. I think the only reason she isn't higher on my list is that I havent heard many of her solo songs. However, from the live preformances you can tell she has a really strong voice. Its no wonder shes the highest paid hello project artist. Her personality is also likeable. She never fails to make me laugh in all of the clips I've seen her in.

Number 8= Natsumi Abe

Another one that Im suprised didnt rank higher. The problem with ranking people is that theres too many people to choose from and not enough space to fit them in lol. Anyways, the reason why I like Nacchi (apart from her voice) is the fact that she is a awesome actress. She always takes her roles really seriously. Her solo songs all sound really nice too and really suit her voice.

Number 7= Reina Tanaka

Reina was one of my favourites for a while but due to new favourites coming in she has slipped down quite a lot. As Aa!'s PV was the first I watched she was one if the first H!P girls I actually saw preform. However, she didn't really stand out a lot to me in this PV and it was because of Shabondama that i started to take notice of her. Her baggy yankee fashion is another reason why I like her as its different from the usual cute look. Her version of Memory Seishun no Hikari is the fourth highest played item on my iTunes.  6) Asami Konno

She isn't the best singer in hello project but I like her voice a lot. When  I heard she was coming back to join Gatas again I was really excited. Iv never really followed Gata's before but their single is awesome. I would like to see one of their games but Ive never really had the time to search and see if theres one on the internet somewhere. A favourite Konkon moment of mine is of a hello morning episode where they have a task to do a rhyme. Konno's is ''after going on a diet I get even fatter'' which of course the judge could relate to and she passed xD

5) Sayumi Michishige

Another one whose voice isnt the best but her personality makes up for it. The fact that she knows she is not the best singer and dancer yet still tries hard to improve is one of the reasons why she is so high on my list. Out of all the girls she has probably made the most improvement over the years. Although she is still a weak singer, I enjoy listening to her voice and her constant effort has made a big difference. She is also unbeliavbly cute! ^^ 

4) Ai Kago

Kago would have ranked higher on my list if it wasnt for her scandal. Despite of this however, she is still in my top 5. Out of Mini Moni I noticed her first as I referred to her and Tsuji as ''the twins'' before I actually learnt who they were. The recent interveiw that was published with her mom really helps open up our eyes about the difficulties of being a idol and all the problems she faced. I wish Aibon and her family all the best in the future.

3) Miyabi Natsuyaki

A favourite of mine. Like I mentioned earlier Aa! was the first PV I saw. After I saw this PV I started watching Berryz past PV's and Miyabi stood out to me based on the fact that I recognised her from Aa! In my opinion she has one of the strongest voices within Berryz and preforms really well live, despite her habit of forgetting her lines. Just watch how cute she is when she forgets her lines ^^

2) Eri Kamei

I could go on about how I love Eri's voice and the fact that she doesnt get a enough solo lines within musume. But I wont. The main reason why Eri is so high on my top ten is that shes weird. My favourite clip including Eri has to be the HaroMoni English lesson when she says ''hand in cheese''. She has only recently become a great favourite of mine but no doubt she will stay quite high for a while.    

1) Mari Yaguchi

My favourite of all time has to be Yagucchan. Shes been one of my favourites since I first discovered Mini Moni. Again the fact that shes small is a reason why I like her. Although she was small, she had one of the bigger personalities. She also has a great voice and her version of furusato is amongst my favourites. She has a great personality and when she was Friday'd she appeared generally sorry for breaking the rules and respectivaly resigned. Its a bit of a shame though that shes only just starting to sing in concerts again now. I doubt anyone will knock Mari off top spot as shes been there for a long time now.   

Im sorry for the brief descriptions on why I like each person its just hard to say why you like them so much. Nevertheless I hope you found it intresting :)

Those who just missed out on being in my top ten are: Jun Jun, Lin Lin, Ai Takahashi, Kei Yasuda, Chinami Tokunaga, Hitomi Yoshizawa and Aika Mitsui. (Yes I know that made more than 15 but it was too hard to narrow it down any more lol) Because of the fact that writing this has took so long I doubt Ill get back to studying now. Oh well never mind xD!
